New to the board!

Hello everyone. I am new to this board and boy am I glad to see it here.  I just read some of the posts, and I have felt so alone with all of the hair growth, weight issues and such. My surgery is scheduled for the 22nd of this month.  I am very excited!  I am the poster child for PCOS.  I think I have just about every issue related to it. I did read about a year ago, that WLS has cured or at least helped in infertility of about 86% of women.  I have been researching the surgery for about 3 1/2 years, and now am just ready to get it done! Anyway, its nice to meet all of you and I will be as active as I can!

Welcome and Congrats on becoming a loser real soon. I'm almost 4 months out and I have PCOS and I hope that when it's time for me to a have a baby it won't be any problems(BY THE GRACE OF GOD). My dr said by losing weight I would help PCOS may not get rid of it but I should not have problems. May God bless you on your journey Ki

I 2 have PCOS and a lot of the typical symptoms that go along with it...since WLS though i am off the glucophage and the progesterone...it's gotton better and i m so glad...i hope that ur WLS goes great please check out my thread about soulcysters.com on this forum...its a great place 4 us "cysters" 2 get 2gether and chat about wahts plaging us and just vent or ask questions...really u should ALL check it out!!!

WLS was the key factor in "curing" my infertility.  After 8+ years of failed ttc I had surgery & at 16 months post op I got pregnant our first month not using protection.  Finally...10 years after we started trying my DD was born.  Good luck to you and congrats on your upcoming surgery!

  Hi! I liked that you put the glasses smiley face because that is how I feel being new here too.  Sorry to hear about the PCOS.  I can relate to how you feel.  I was lucky enough to have my son before being diagnosed but have not been able to lose enough weight, or keep it off, to get down to where my fertility specialists would like to see it. It's just another thing that I hope will improve with this surgery. Good luck to you! Alison
